The 61% AI concentration in global VC spending signals something deeper than sector enthusiasm: capital is now sorting hard for proprietary data moats and end-to-end technical capability. For retail and indie investors watching from the outside, this creates a more readable signal than the broad narrative-driven rounds of previous cycles. Equity crowdfunding platforms are increasingly surfacing access to comparable-quality companies in smaller tranches. The criteria are harder now, but so is the case for each surviving deal.
